SOLUTION FOCUSED BRIEF THERAPY (SFBT) is a model of therapy which works perfectly with hypnosis to change patterns of negative thinking thereby allowing us to regain control over our lives through eliminating unwanted patterns of behaviour.
SFBT is a concept of simplicity which recognises that we all have resources within ourselves (even if we have forgotten them), which can be used to help us find the solution to our problems. Our brains are naturally solution focused and will seek ways out of problems. If we can let our mind know what we want, it will automatically do its best to achieve it.
SFBT is a non directive approach which looks at how the problem we wish to change is affecting our lives now. It is not analytical therapy which seeks to uncover the root of a problem and work through it.
It uses practical, modern and well researched strategies. These combined with concepts of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) can help people make significant changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time.
It is an extremely effective and rapid method to create significant and lasting change.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY (CBT) is a therapeutic model which looks at what we think and what we do. It has much evidence showing its effectiveness and is the treatment of choice in the NHS. CBT councelling/psychotherapy sessions can be combined with solutions focus and/or hypnotherapy.
My approach is very modern and positive. It applies aspects of neuro-science to understand how our minds work and why we behave as we do. This helps to regain a sense of being more in control.
